McLaren wanted to celebrate Ayrton Senna's legacy on the 30th anniversary of his passing with a special tribute at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Ayrton Senna is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. Known as 'The King of Monaco,' he achieved a record six victories at the Monaco Grand Prix and won more races for McLaren than any other driver, among many other accomplishments.
Our idea was for McLaren to create a one-off Senna30 edition livery for both McLaren F1 cars taking part at the Monaco Grand Prix. The livery was inspired by Senna's iconic Brazilian themed (green, yellow & blue) helmet. McLaren created a significant amount of content and PR from our idea, as a full livery swap mid-season is a rare occurrence in Formula 1.
The new livery was unveiled just in time for the Monaco Grand Prix, where Oscar Piastri achieved an impressive 2nd place finish, and Lando Norris secured a strong 4th place.
Alongside other merchandise, the McLaren Senna30 livery was introduced into F1 video games, a special edition McLaren Senna sports car was produced, and McLaren also collaborated with Pure Electric to produce a Senna30 Pure E-Scooter.
